Tinnum

Anyone who Ti goes on holiday to Tinnum is right in the middle of Sylt and can reach all important points of the island in few minutes by car and it also takes just 15 minutes by bicycle to get to the beach. Westerland, with its surfing beach, begins to the west of the island.   Rantum basin , the famous bird protection area, is located to the south and the open Wadden Sea starts in the south-east.

With its outstanding possibilities for riding a bicycle, hiking, for good shopping facilities and a wide range of offers regarding holiday flats, Tinnum is an ideal place for good value holidays on Sylt Island. Anglers can practice their sport in different sluices and, with its three riding estates , Tinnum is the ideal holiday location for all fans of equestrian sports.

Tinnum zoo is a popular destination for families. Together with a varied vegetation of flowers and trees, Tinnum zoo is a small paradise, in which you can pleasantly get away from the hectic pace of the everyday routine for a few hours. Ponds with pedal boats, a playground, a merry-go-round and a bouncy castle also attract children with magic.  

Tinnum castle and also the bailiff’s residence (built in 1649 and one of the oldest buildings in Sylt) are other sights worth seeing. .
